Top Commentator Plug-In
I just installed the “Top Commentator” plug-in, that you can see on the sidebar of the blog. This plug-in will let people view just who has posted the most comments on this blog. In addition, any links that show up on this list will actually count as back links to other websites out there, which is another way to create a back-link to boost your Google rankings.
This plug-in came from the blog Personal Finance Advice, and is in wide use among WordPress Blogs.

I’ve edited the settings on the plug-in. Now, rather than listing comments in the current month, it lists comments over the last 30 days. I figure this is long enough that long standing commentators won’t feel bad at their comment count being reset at the start of every month, and should be short enough not to intimidate newer commentators.

It’s funny because we have the same predicament. We have been debating for months now whether to put the Top Commentators plugin on our freelance blog at FreelanceVenue.com. It does encourage participation (in exchange for free advertising)…

I have already mentioned about planning to install this plug-in to enhance comment on my blog and offering a free backlinks to show when you are the top commenter for the month. And here it is, I have just activated it and as you can see at the sidebar.

I was trying to think of installing this top commentator plug-in on this blog to enhance my visitors to comment on my blog and also to increase the traffic somehow. I am planning on setting it at the sidebar where the top commentator site under their name will be displayed and show some follow attribute to have a link love.

Since I moderate the comments before it will show, I think it can increase a bit the user or visitors interaction in this blog. But still need your input on whether I need to plugged it in or not. And what plug-in is it.

It seems installing this plug-in is a decision of having to choose between traffic and link strength as powered by google. On seo point of view, link love will be less. But what’s the heck, traffic is all we want was it?

Hope to see some comments and get that luxury of being the top commenter and display your site at the sidebar for a month period. But take note that I still have to moderate the comments even if the akismet plug-in is installed due to the fact that it is not perfect on catching those spammers and getting into the system.
