A New Scale

Hey all. Some of you may remember that I’m trying to loose weight. Well, my recent bout with physical inactivity brought on by throwing my back out didn’t help, nor will my resolve to minimize heavy physical activity over the next week.

On the up-side, it turns out that I was able to keep most of the weight off that I talked about in my previous post according to the scale at my parents house. Unfortunately, that scale shows me as weighing far less than the one at the doctors office does, and I won’t have access to it nearly as often as I used to. So I bought a new scale.

In clothes weighing about the same, this new scale shows me at the same weight as the scale at the doctor’s office does. But since it shows me at a different weight than the one I was previously using does, I’ve decided to start over in my goal setting, from what I currently weigh in the morning on this new scale. Interestingly enough, this puts me at 278 again, but this time that weight is more accurate, and I actually truly mass less than when I weighed 278 on my parent’s old scale… if that makes any sense.

I’m also going to be getting my bike from my parents house in the near future, and I plan to start riding it to nearby shops and back. I even have my own saddle bag that I can remove from the bike, and take into the stores with me.
