However, this sort of proposal goes past punishment and says that the subject is not a person, endowed with the rights and privileges guaranteed by the Constitution, but rather an organic machine with a defect that needs to be fixed. And the moment you allow that kind of a distinction, the moment you classify THEM as subhuman, we have entered the same mentality that has caused the most heinous acts of violence in the history of human civilization.</description>
