There we go
Windows set up continually said nvrdx64.sys was corrupted. The reason for it was that I kept selecting the 64 bit version of the drivers… while trying to install a 32 version of windows (All versions of windows home edition are 32 bit). Once I realized this and put together a disk for 32 bit, things started working, much better.
At the moment, I’m formatting the partition on my RAID 5 array, which will wind up being just under 1 full Terrabyte. I’ve got 3 different hard drives that were billed at 500 GB, set up.
Always keep in mind when you buy hard drives, they bill them using 1000 bytes to make a Kilobyte, 1000 Kilobytes to make 1 Megabyte, 1000 Megabytes to make 1 Gigabyte, and 1000 Gigabytes to make 1 Terrabyte. When a computer or a Computer Engineer calculates resources, we use 1024, which is 2^10.
Then there’s the space which is always taken up by formatting. 8 MB were also reserved when I created the partition I’m currently formatting.
